Yo descubrí a Freud por sus obras completas. Un solo ejemplar que estaba guardado bajo llave en la biblioteca de la Facultad.
No me interesó tanto la parte psicoanalítica sobre las enfermedades mentales sino el análisis semiótico y psicoanalítico que hizo sobre la pintura de Leonardo da Vinci. En la pintura “La Madonna y el Niño” todo un enredo de su elocuencia para atestiguar al final que Leonardo era Homosexual.
También el análisis de la escultura de Miguel Ángel “Moisés” Todo un compendio artístico y una nueva visión sobre la obra del escultor del renacimiento.
No sé. Pero muchos compañeros míos que ya tenían problemas de la personalidad agarraron la Psiquiatría como especialidad. A los dos años estaban locos por cambiarse a Anatomía Patológica. Así sí resolvían los padecimientos humanos pero diseccionándolos.
A mí me fascinó Freud. Pero casi no se mencionaba en la carrera de Medicina. Parece que la teoría Marxista sobre la sociedad, la psiquiatría, etc., no compaginaba con las ideas del médico judío. El Psiquiatra comandante en jefe, aunque él era el primer paciente enfermo a quien había que darle 3 electro shock al día se explayaba sobre el nuevo Hospital para enfermos mentales de la Habana, Mazorra, donde los locos al fin estaban felices y radiantes Hasta el “Caballero de Paris” mítico deambulador de las calles de la capital, vestido con capa roja y pelo entrecano copioso largo, que era ya una figura folclórica del país, lo hospitalizaron en “Mazorra” y lo despojaron de su original vestimenta y le raparon el pelo. El pueblo no dijo nada. Le hicieron entrevistas para la revista Bohemia y decía “lo bien que se sentía” claro, después de los consabidos 27 electro shock.
Hay una nueva teoría científica hoy en dia a la cual algunos psiquiatras cubanos se han adherido. Repiten una y otra vez, que la tierra es plana y no esférica como se pensaba antes.
Últimamente los hospitales también siguen de albergue para los que disienten de la Revolución. Aunque hablan coherentemente y defienden sus ideas con claridad y seguridad, tratamiento Electro convulsivo para ellos, así sin más ni más.
¿Qué pasa con los psiquiatras en Cuba? ¿Es un método de tortura o salvo excepciones un refugio para médicos mediocres que han tenido bajas calificaciones en la carrera de medicina y no les queda otra salida que optar por psiquiatría? Total, si ellos después de unos años de ejercer están listos para habitar el Hospital de Mazorra de la capital.
Cuba tiene una de las mayores tasas de suicidio del mundo.

Me hacía saltar de regocijo el "Rock around the Clock" y otra que nunca he vuelto a escuchar. Yo pedía 20 centavos a mi madre y en lugar de tomarme un buen licuado refrescante, echaba 5 centavos para escuchar aquel Rock'n'Roll, que por instinto me parecía la mejor música del mundo.
Los años pasaron, Fidel intervino todo tipo de negocio privado y la rocola desapareció como por arte de magia. Los dueños emigraron a Miami. Nunca supe qué fue de aquel aparato ni quién era aquel grupo musical que tocaba aquella música maravillosa y mágica.
Llegó mi adolescencia y entonces apareció el británico Elton John y todo cambió.
Los años pasaron, Fidel intervino todo tipo de negocio privado y la rocola desapareció como por arte de magia. Los dueños emigraron a Miami. Nunca supe qué fue de aquel aparato ni quién era aquel grupo musical que tocaba aquella música maravillosa y mágica.

Elton John fue nuestro ídolo de los estudiantes del Pre Universitario Rubén Batista, que escuchábamos la emisora radial americana AFRTS y así nos impregnábamos del Rock’n’roll inglés y de USA cuando la radio cubana no pasaba ninguna de esas canciones.

Deja de utilizar la historia de nuestro prócer de la independencia a favor de los que ahora y antes la oprimían. Martí no necesitaba los medios sociales de comunicación actuales porque es su lucha los tenía: una buena pluma y periódicos que publicaban sus artículos.
Vos que ya no tienes a tu cargo el Ministerio de Cultura y sí el de asuntos martianos, te has plegado a la moda del twitteo como tu jefe Díaz- Canel y otros.
Quiero decirte que el exilio somos tan cubanos como tú y eso no nos lo quita ninguna frase martiana, ni castrista ni tuya . Nacimos es Cuba y seremos cubanos hasta la muerte. La diferencia es que conocemos la Libertad. Si Martí resucitara estaría escoltándonos contra la tiranía que hace 60 años nos oprime. ¿O tratarían de darle un carnet del PCC? Pero el apóstol no era tonto, sabía cuál era la libertad que deseaba para Cuba.
¿Tenés miedo que tu cabeza rueda como la de Robaina, Carlos Lage y Roque? Por eso gritas a favor del oprobio gubernamental. Ere un hombre inteligente. Estás a tiempo para rectificar. Somos muchos los cubanos de la isla y fuera de esta a quienes no nos han engañado tantos años de sufrimiento.

Ahora que el presidente Trump ha endurecido su postura-algo populista pero eficaz- contra el régimen cubano este ha recurrido a un comportamiento de los viejos sistemas dictatoriales: alegría, buena cara y nada de miedo. Cuando por intuición ven como la izquierda de América Latina tambalea. Brasil ha sido el primer ejemplo. Y los dirigentes cubanos ahora saben que se aproxima el final. Todo porque es natural con una población joven que sabe más de la Democracia que las generaciones anteriores pero tienen miedo.
MARIELA CASTRO ríe comiendo langosta ante las cámaras para consumo externo. Pero tienen miedo, mucho miedo, más que nunca, que se acerca el desmoronamiento final.
